So the movie Cloverfield and I have a history. And I haven’t even seen it.

My cousin went to see it in theaters when it first came out. I’m guessing he was 9 at the time, as was I when he told me and another one of my cousins THE ENTIRE THING SCENE BY SCENE. DURING A CAR RIDE. IN THE DARK. WE WERE ALL ~9.

And this was like on purpose he was all here’s this scifi movie I saw let me tell you all the specific details that will scare the shit out of you. (at least I’m assuming because something that scary, there’s no way it’s PG13 that’s gotta be like whatever’s highest idek)

I will consent to the fact that I am a total wuss when it comes to scary movies, but are you kidding me every time it has crossed my mind since I’ve been freakin PETRIFIED by it. I mean picture me sitting in my 7th grade english class or whatever and just start SWEATING for no apparent reason.That’s what would happen I would all of the sudden REMEMBER and have a mini internal FREAK OUT.

So tonight I heard it mentioned somewhere on the internet. And being a big bad 15-y-o, I thought I should go look it up again.

I SHOULDN’T HAVE. SERIOUSLY.

I watched this trailer. I got 41 seconds into it (go ahead, watch for it), and had to STOP THE TRAILER PLAYING BECAUSE IT SCARED ME SO MUCH. I WAS CRYING AND SHAKING THIS IS A PROPER PHOBIA THANK YOU SO MUCH PAUL FOR SCARRING ME FOR LIFE. I HAD TO QUICKLY SWITCH TO MUSIC BECAUSE I WAS CRYING AND THAT SOUND WAS SHAKING AROUND IN MY HEAD AND IT’S NEVER GOING TO LEAVE GODDAMMIT.

Tomorrow I’m going to try to finish the trailer. If that turns out ok then I’ll go for the movie. BUT ONLY DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.

Maybe then I’ll stop having nightmares about a movie that I’VE NEVER EVEN SEEN.
